This gentleman, Phelps, and I use the term loosely, and his church (all the members are his family..go figure) like to protest at funerals.
They are particularly fond of protesting at the funeral of gays, they have also started on funerals of military that have died.
Their opinion (God Hates F*gs is one of the signs they carry) is that we are being punished with the war among other things..because we are not treating homosexuality like the abomniation(sp) the Bible says it is.
This fool has be around for awhile..
I remeber 10years ago talking to my supervisior at work about him. I said "dosen't he know the Bible teaches love the sinner hate the sin"...
Thankfully most people think what he is doing is horrid.
What is sad is people are also having to look into security for their loved ones funeral because of this fool.
I hope he truly thinks with all his heart he is doing right...cause I have a feeling he is going to be unpleasantly suprised when his time comes..
