need new engine

Have 12.6 X 7 fiberglass airboat with faily deep hull. Currently powered by 290 Lycoming. Needs new engine. Access to 350 chev free. Probably use Franklin belt drive. Boat too small for this conversion? Other engine ideas? Thanks!
