Your sweet little man! It's absolutely amazing how our kiddos can keep positive attitudes when they have to deal with so much. We could learn a lot from them. We're thinking about Evan and your family and hope all is well.

: Yes, for the third time this month we traveled
: to Cinci for a visit with our home away from
: home. This time Evan decided it would be
: cool to travel via an ambulance from our
: local ER.
:
: Sunday morning he woke with a nose bleed and
: two hours later he was vomitting a great
: deal of blood. Three blood tests later and
: 36 hours later, his hemoglobin and
: hematacrit dropped substantially so he
: required a transfusion. Today he as been
: scheduled for an endoscopy to check for any
: varicasies (sp?)...bulging veins in his
: esophogus/stomach caused by portal
: hypertension. He has not vomitted any more
: since Sunday which is very good news. There
: is a good possibility that the blood came
: from a nose bleed that had slowly dripped
: down his throat all night long. He is in
: the spica cast for the borken femur so he is
: forced to sleep propped way up on his back.
: He might not have even noticed that the nose
: was even bleeding.
:
: But...just to be safe the endoscope should
: tell all.
:
: Side note: Evan has been doing great
: through this whole ordeal. He loves to
: order hospital food and he has been eating
: like a little piggy
:
: I will post again when we know more. The
: Lord has carried us through all of Evan's
: other medical situations and we know he will
: this time too
