Hello Dagmar,
Just recently I took my son to liver transplant spetialist, Things are ok for now, but when i asked to check his vitamines level in the blood he told me that is not necesary.
He said like this: That with AGS and all cronic problems the body can function well for about 3 years, then its starts to miss, mostly vitamine D. Thats why i thing after that age is important to increase the amount.
I am moving to Belgium next month, and there is one of bigest liver expert in the world so i am going to meed him soon and find more.
Prayers for Mark and your family,we hope it heals soon... and hope you get a lot of strainght and patience to deal with it.

: Mark is the newest member of the broken bone
: club!
:
: Friday two weeks ago he did not want to walk
: any more. The next day we brought him in to
: have a x-ray (we had learned from this forum
: that AGS-kiddos can have fractures without
: visionable reason).
:
: The x-ray showed...nothing. But Mark did not
: start to walk again and complained about
: pain above his left knee... We carried him
: all the week until we had an appointment at
: a specialist. He sent us to have an MRI.
: Mark had the MRI today and an x-ray again -
: and both showed the fracture!
:
: Grrrrr... why did the x-ray show nothing two
: weeks ago?!? Poor child had to live with the
: broken femur without cast for two weeks! I
: am glad that we carried him all the time.
:
: He has a blue cast now and is very brave.
