Dagmar,
I am so sorry to hear this. Isn't it enough that our kids have to deal with fragile livers, hearts, kidneys, etc....fragile bones make their quality of life just stink. I will pray that this is his first and last broken bone.
What was he doing? With Evan, it wouldn't take much to get a fracture. Is he in a hip-spica cast or is it just on the leg he has broken?
My prayers are with you...much love,
Sherry L.

: Mark is the newest member of the broken bone
: club!
:
: Friday two weeks ago he did not want to walk
: any more. The next day we brought him in to
: have a x-ray (we had learned from this forum
: that AGS-kiddos can have fractures without
: visionable reason).
:
: The x-ray showed...nothing. But Mark did not
: start to walk again and complained about
: pain above his left knee... We carried him
: all the week until we had an appointment at
: a specialist. He sent us to have an MRI.
: Mark had the MRI today and an x-ray again -
: and both showed the fracture!
:
: Grrrrr... why did the x-ray show nothing two
: weeks ago?!? Poor child had to live with the
: broken femur without cast for two weeks! I
: am glad that we carried him all the time.
:
: He has a blue cast now and is very brave.
