Help for the seminary of Saint Joseph

The diocese of Lurín lies close to the capital Lima and has its own seminary, the seminary of Saint Joseph (Seminario Mayor de San José). Currently there are 24 young men studying here. Almost all of them come from the poorer sections of the population and as a result they need help both for their studies and for their daily subsistence. "Once again we are knocking on your door", writes Bishop Enrique García Camader of Lurín, "in the hope that you can help us to the extent of your possibilities. We are hoping you will say yes and grateful for the support that our dear brothers and sisters of ACN are giving, and I pray to the Lord that He may continue to accompany you in your work on behalf of the most needy."

The Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need has promised a grant of $5,600.
