Cuba: The Handmaids of the Heart of Mary need a house to live in

Help to purchase the first floor of a house for the Handmaids of the Heart of Mary in Florida

The Handmaids of the Heart of Mary (Siervas del Corazón de Maria) are working very hard for the success of the pastoral work in this parish where they live. It is a parish that has already produced two bishops. The missionary spirit of these sisters is part of the reason why the number of the Catholic faithful here is growing -- and not only in the parish of Florida but also in the neighbouring parish of Céspedes, where they are also active in the pastoral apostolate. The sisters are now hoping to be able to purchase the first floor of the house they currently occupy, so that they can live there and then turn over the ground floor to the parishioners, so that they can use it to play an active part in the life of the Church here. Archbishop Juan Garcia Rodriguez of Camagüey has asked the Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) for help with this project.
