Third, I have been ask to resolve an issue, but after an hour+ of google, and such am no closer to an answer so I though I would try a posting here, Hopefully someone can help. Basically, I have been asked to hook two analog devices to a KX-TD1232 switch. It is mounted in a Vehicle CMD van and gets it's dial tone from Cellular Analog units & Satellite Phones. NO Problem.. The issue is that the Chief wants a Fax on extension 13, and a console interface on extension 14. From reading the documentation we have and Google notes, it appears that this should be as simple as plugging the fax into a working port so that the Voice/Analog Tip/Ring is hot to the device. well, it does not work ! I found a note the AbleComm site that references a switch being in Program or Set mode. Can't find that switch either :-( Where should I be looking for it ?? Can anyone offer me some help with this basic issue. Also, should I be able to access this unit with a Telnet/Hyperterm TTY interface, and where would I find the CMD documentation once I am attached. MANY Thanks In Advance.
First, I know vary little about this specific switch.
