SP-PHONE on KX-T7731

I have had complaints about people not being able to hear while we are on speaker phone. We had a 816 system prior to the TAW848 we have now. Before we could talk into the receiver while still in speaker phone mode. Is there a way to do this with the TAW848 system and KX-T7731 phones?
