KX-TD11232 Connecting an extension

Help! I am trying to connect an extension to the master punch board. Is there a specific format to how this should be done. The box/plug has 4 lines green, white green, brown, and white brown. The main punch board has been fully installed about 50-60 slots. The installer intalled in steps of 4 and skipped 2. How do I hook up the extension? Do I need 1 pair or two? I tried using two pair on an empty set but it doesn't work. Can anyone help me.
