Update for TA824 and 4 APITS?

I recently found out that the TA824 does not have 4 port APITS with the TVA-50 (it will only work with 2 ports in APITS, and you have to use inbound for 4 ports). Is there any hope of a firmware update being released to fix this?
Strangely, the software even allows you to select 4 APITS ports on both systems, so it seems like it was suppose to work originally (or the failure to work is a bug).
