Posted by tk on October 19, 2005, 12:33 pm, in reply to "Re: TDA 50 vs KX-TAW848" i thought this type of marketing went away 15 years ago, but for some reason panasonic did it with the tda, which is a shame. i would say there is a 90% chance they have lost significant revenue. an interesting question is can we rig the taw to work with the tda phones? it can't be that hard.
i looked at both systems. the tda phones are very cool and it is nice to have the menu for voicemail. but, the cost of this is your local dealer having you by the wontons-- "you want to rename that extension? i'll get out there next week sometime between 8 am and 5pm, maybe." if the tda were offered as a user installable and programmable unit i would buy it in a second.
