Fortunately I am a solo end user/homeowner/geek and don't rely on my laptop and Pana s/w to make a living. Indeed I would stick with XP for that purpose. I am simply inquisitive and curiuous to know if the old legacy Pana s/w will work (incl. the USB drivers). I know that Win 7 has some form of 'compatability mode' to support older apps.
