Night mode indicator without DSS

I have set up a panasonic KX-TA824 system with KX-T7735 3 line display phones with the KX-TA82492 internal voice mail. The business has variable hours so they want to enable / disable night mode manually. That works ok, but they don't remember it change it back to day mode in the morning. Is there a way to put a message on the display or light an indicator without buying the DSS console? I haven't been able to figure it out.
