We loaded the backup software from the old system into the replacement unit. We do not have a battery backup on the system.
We have left the Caller ID card off the unit just to see if that maybe causing the problem. We have not seen the problem since that card was removed this morning. We also noticed that the ground lug on the unit hasn't been tied to ground for 8 years. We did that as well. Waiting to see if the problem occurs overnight tonight.
