KXT7775 wiring

Hey all! So I have a taw848 with the door phone card, which I have rigged to open garage doors and a gate with external relays. I'm in the process of switching my old door-intercoms to KXT7775 doorphones. I was looking at the wiring diagram to see what is necessary. From what I see, 1 PAIR goes from the AC supply to the doorphone. Is that all? I ask this because the diagram also shows 1 lead going from the doorphone to "door chime system" and also 1 from the doorphone to "bell input" All the setups I've seen only require 1 PAIR from the AC adapter to the doorphone for normal conversation and power needs. Am I correct? What are the other 2 terminals for? Any more info would be great! I'm NOT new to the system, but am new to doorphones. Thanks!
