I have a KX-TA824 and a TVA50. My question is pretty basic..(i assume). We have the TVA50 setup as a basic answering machine. I would like to setup 8 different mailboxes for my various employees. However, we only have 3 phones. My question is do i just assign mailboxes to various extensions (even though the handsets aren't present)? This is what i did but then wasn't sure how to access these mailboxes.
My other question was how do i transfer people to these mailboxes? I have my ta824 setup with a transfer to vm button but it isn't working like i assume it should. I thought u press that button and then dial the mailbox number but it doesn't work. Do i have to dial the ext number associated with that mailbox?
