KX-TVA50

I have a KX-TVA50 and a KX-TA824. I was using the Maintenance console with the TVA50 with no problem. I left the programmer password as INSTALLER, and that still works. When I get passed that step and click on Connect, then choose USB (like I always have) and put in the password 1234 (which it has always been) it doesn't connect, but says "Error: Invalid Request". Now I can't get into the maint. console at all and I need to do some config changes, and a backup (yikes). The version on the PC now for the maint console is 2.024 (Version 2.0 mode), and the only CD I have is 0.027 (Version 1.1 mode). Any ideas?
