Message Waiting Lamp

We have a KX-TA824, connected to a KX-TVA50 via 2 APT ports, and several KX-T7731 phones. The message waiting lamp is not turning on - can someone tell me the proper light-on and light-off sequence to enter in the system parameters of the TVA maintenance console? Thanks.
