Because we certainly didn't make Steve Chettle an offer he couldn't refuse?
In my opinion (which means diddly squit) we should of moved heaven and earth to keep his services once we'd decided to show the Gaffer the door.
The direction the Club is wanting to go with regards coaching and young players, I think you will have to go an awful long way to find anyone better in that area than Chetts.
And for me, because enough wasn't done to secure his services I fear we may have to get used to the fact that the spine of the team will want to follow him out the door.
Maybe not to Nuneaton, but how can players have faith in Chairman/Owners when they are prepared to let this happen?
