The squad, management, selections, full time training, I never doubted for one minute. Unfortunately, some of our fickle support did. Their loss I say, and I for one care not a jot if we see them again.
The gates will increase. Why? Because of the likes of Mon night. Getting the families of Ilkeston interested in something they may not of experienced before.
If you've had one of the "can we go again dad?" children, you'll know exactly what I mean.
With regards the away support...
Superb. Is, and always will be.
Two main reasons for that in my opinion..
The outstanding service and commitment you get from Lynda Bacon and the rest of the IFCSG committee in getting you there in the first place and...............alcohol.
Even a church mouse would sing at the top of his squeaky voice if he had consumed 6/7...........15 pints of the foaming ale.
Now the vast majority (bar a couple) of home fans won't be in the pubs of Ilkeston from 10am onwards, so I think that is probably your answer.
And to your last point.....
Yeah, we are the talk of Non-Lge, and probably beyond like you say.
This vision/model that the Club set out is coming to fruition and long may it continue.
Through all the doubting and negativity the management, Chairman and staff of the Club have stuck to their guns and believed this will work.
Shame that maybe the 100 or so "you'll never win owt with kids" didn't do the same.
