Hopefully the handover of power happens sooner rather than later,you cant help but get the feeling that Ilkeston town football club has been more of a burden to mr Whyte rather than a pleasure and i say that with the utmost sincerity.I had no problems with Chek taking over the reins at our club,he had high hopes that he would be able to give something back to the Ilkeston folks using the football club as an outlet.I think his empires decline of late certainly has not helped matters but i think Chek himself would readily admit that he is not a football man.In my own honest opinion i think that if you own a club it helps enormously if you share the highs and lows like Ilsons loyal band of followers do.Looking forward to the cup on saturday and with a bit of luck and a strong prevailing wind hoping we can overcome Tamworth who have a good team.roll on satdee.
