HOLDSWORTH QUITS REDBRIDGE
Former Wimbledon and Bolton Wanderers star Dean Holdsworth has left Ryman League Division One North club Redbridge as manager, increasing speculation that he will become the new boss of Blue Square South Newport County.
Holdsworth is moving to Worcester to live and obviously the travelling would be too much for him to continue with the Essex outfit.
Holdsworth (pictured) has left with the best wishes of all associated with Redbridge, but with managerless County expected to name their new manager this coming week, and Holdsworth having had a brief, but successful spell as a player at Spytty Park, he is expected to beat off stiff opposition for the post.
