I knew my dad for eleven years. After that, we met only occasionally, but what I remember of those years is precious and what I specifically remember is his workbench in the basement. He built the house we lived in. That is, my parents built it together, as my mom always pointed out. Dad was always building or scraping or painting something. While he did that my brother "built" PT boats out of scrap lumber and I was the crew (who would hold tea parties with my dolls when "on leave"). We both got to play with saws and hammers and (horrible to the modern mind) drills! It was great!
Needless to say, I love the new Father's Day WFF and, with all these memories alive and well--I think I'll just get one for myself
