He was turning bitter, felt the acid curl through his chest as Solira continued to fall and fall down into ruins. The continual elemental attacks only hindered the place, keeping it in ruin so it would fall down into despair. Well they are there and he knew this time not to expect the Wolves to come running to help, but there he could only feel relief. Fenris should have been the leader of the Vipers, only because she seemed more like a snake than a wolf. It surprised him to think like this, to realize that he really did not care any longer for Fenris. It shocked him. He remembered seeing her after the first time Solira had been crushed by the elementals. She was dead, or almost so and there had been nothing that he could do, but then suddenly she was alive but could not speak and she had been so young. He remembered grieving for her lost youth. No doubt something like that had sapped the rest of her young vitality. He sighed, shaking his head to scramble his thoughts and he turned towards the ocean where he knew that she would be. He missed her, did not know what to do without her and only went into the ocean to find her.
He needed her. If only for a minute.
He let his element find her element, the same twisting, turning liquid embrace came from her too. He smiled softly when he saw her, his eyes lighting up just briefly before he shuttered them and his feelings disappeared. He pressed his lips to her shoulder at the base of her neck, kissing his scar that often bled but he healed before it could drip into the water. "I have missed you." He says, seeing a few less scars than before but knowing she was probably a slave to Kurai who had taken them. He straightened away, the water below them acting as a place to stand as it held them. He looked towards the sands where there seemed to be no life. "Maybe it would have been better if someone else had ruled for me and I disappeared into the sands." He sighed. "I am not good at being King." There is no bitterness in those words, only a sigh that says more than it ought to.
