Their world had healed. The ocean's boiling water had finally cooled enough that the Water holders could clear the baked fish that had begun to rot under the hot sun. They managed to clear the acidity from the water, managed to make it livable again. He smiled at the bright blue ocean waters, content in the moment as he gazed out at them. It was cool against his legs again and Kolun was out amongst the waves overwhelmed with happiness that he could be back within the water. Earth holders had restored the grasses, the sparse trees. They had restored some order to the land while Water had restored some order to the ocean. He was overly proud of his people, proud that they had all made it through without casualties and that even after they were still strong, still standing.
Marshall couldn't help but feel however, that a rock had been knocked out of their foundation. They were teetering, he knew that one thing or another could destroy them. He knew that one thing or another could also save them. They needed order and peace in their world. He tossed his head, clearing his eyes as he turned away from the ocean. The very thing that he had come to loved was slowly turning on him. He could feel it. Even though Water still thrummed with his heartbeat it seemed, he could feel the maliciousness in the air around them, around Solira as a whole. He looked towards the sands, and the sea grasses, his eyes flickering upwards to the sky where he saw sea gulls flapping and cawing. He smiled slightly, slowly Solira was returning.
He gave Kolun a passing smile as he slowly with his rocking horse canter moved steadily along the beach. Salt water splashed upon his legs and his belly, his eyes narrowed to slits so the salt couldn't sting his eyes. He was so happy that the ocean was back to normal he felt it curl up around his legs and lift him along the shore. He smiled, knowing Ariel was probably beneath the waves with only the waves to help push and pull her. She was just like him in that aspect, always wanting to dive deeper and deeper, until maybe one time neither of them would come back up.
He shook the thoughts away, deciding that now was not the time to think of death. Instead he searched the shadows and the sky for Enola, knowing that they had a few residents that were held as captives in Andarin and in Ni'Srilan. It was time that they both were retrieved and brought home. Saphira might even have to use her monthly to return one of them home if Solira's spies cannot manage it. He touched his mind against her and said softly. Enola, we need to talk." There was no harsh emotion within his voice nor in his mind but they needed to retaliate back at whoever stole from them. They needed to get their residents home and back within the ocean boundaries. It was time Solira was recognized as something great and not just someplace that got pushed around.
