She stirred on the beach shores where she had fallen, the urgent rapping of her name on her ears drawing her back to consciousness. Eyes fluttered open, startled to see Marshall hovering over her, lending her his strength in waves of energy. It tickled, and itched, the way a scab does when it heals and she had to intense urge to shake her body. But she fought back such childish notions as she heaved herself to her feet, stumbling precariously before gathering her balance. She quivered as she stood, the searing, snapping burns still stretched across her blue skin aching whenever she moved. The left side of her was mostly burned, having fallen on her right, it found sanctuary beneath her, above the heated shore. She coughed as she stood, her lungs swimming through smog. But she could feel the pulse of Marshall's healing, it was better with his help, but it still hurt.
"Ariel." Huyana's voice, usually the soft, crisp flow of a stream cutting through a mountainside; it now sounded like the raspy caw of a giant crow. She tried to cough it back to normal, but it burned and she swallowed down the ash, attempting a smile for Ariel. She was burned too. Everyone had burned here. As Ariel leant her muzzle to the shell Huyana extended her own nose to the glass shell tucked in Ariel's mane. "I am glad you are safe." Huyana murmured. As safe as anyone really was right now.
But Huyana had little time to sit and rest, to comfort and to be comforted. Others were arriving, this group of the wounded and the lost growing. The roan mare listened attentively, gaze flickering between each that was present. Altair, Edgar, Ariel, Marshall, Connor, Courage, Aquila, Fenris, Wyvern, Hypatia, Passchendaele, and then Saphira.
Huyana only nodded in response to Marshall's verdict no one go to Desreal alone. But at his mention to move into a cave, to slumber tonight... Huyana could only rebel. She would find no sleep tonight, not with the pain, with the massive group. No. The roan scholar moved to stand beside Aquila, head dipping low. She would help pull the acid and the fire from the ocean. When she had woken on the beach, her water felt stronger, bursting wildly through her, flashing cooling balm across her burns, though it could not heal, only numb. Her water had grown, she could use it to its full potential now.
"I can help clear the water." She murmured, eyes drifting between those who shrugged off, looking for the lost, for shelter. She glanced between the two queens of other lands. "But we should not refuse help, from anyone." Solira is large, too large to help herself rise when she falls. Marshall was letting his anger get the best of him lately, but then Huyana didn't know him very well before his rise to king. Perhaps he had always been so angry, or perhaps the crown was like thorns in his skull, driving him to an edge. Motion and sound caught Huyana's attention, gaze snapping over to watch the bloody Saphira collapse on the wet shore. "Saphira!" Huyana's voice croaked, breaking part way between. Her body exploded from the stop, screaming in agony which made the scholar halt, knowing that even if she ran to Saphira's side she had nothing to help her with. Amber eyes flashed with pain... so useless, so useless here. She needed to heal the water, it was all she could do.
