Lycoris bubbles beside her, hoping to see the palomino there. At least, Huyana thought, Courage would have some easy company; though Huyana had only met a few wolves. Regardless, Huyana ached to watch her leave. She belonged here and not there, no matter how nice the wolves were.

She sighed softly, ears flicking as Lycoris continued, unburdened by anything. ”I should have known.” Huyana smiled faintly, wondering why she had failed to smell the pine on her coat; perhaps the brine here was too strong. ”I visited the mountains once, and the desert. In many ways the mountains suit me more, but Solira is my home.” Huyana had decided this, firmly, despite her heavy heart.
As Lycoris began to explain the reasons for being here, especially a horse who sounded like antisocial Kratos, Huyana found a broad simper scampering along her lips. ”Would that air Jaeger by chance be the dark and typhoon making Kratos?” Huyana laughed freely again, recalling her brief meeting with him. He was so unlike Courage, it baffled her how they found love between them. ”Did he teach you anything?”
