Marshall just laughed softly at her. She was so chatty, so like his daughter he couldn't help but feel a wave of longing for his daughter. He sobered for a moment, pressing his lips against her chest when she was against him gently. It was almost absentmindedly but he took care of those that were within Solira and she would be no different, even if she didn't live her all the time. As the water from his serpent splashed back down and then again upon them he smiled, the spots of water turning his skin that clammy blue color. He was musing over her thoughts about sea shells and smiled slightly. "Ariel has a whole collection of sea-shells, I'm sure she would love to share with you if you found her. She's usually in the ocean." He smiled at the young mare, pressing his lips to her shoulder as she moved away to look at Kolun who was amused.
"Of course I'm the cutest." He projected into her mind briefly, Kolun smiling smugly. "What can be cuter than an otter?" He was teasing her, smiling and winking at her briefly in his otter way. He nudged her back, his paws laying gently upon her nose as he rubbed his head against her in affection. "Kolun is my name." He continues to say to her but there is nothing else that she can get from him except his aura of happiness and some words as she asks questions about them. Kolun did turn to look at Marshall quietly when she spoke Micah's name. There was nothing unusual about the stallion's face, however. It was solemn as he watched Kolun and Lycoris in silence. He wasn't sure what his deal was but he felt sad (maybe it was the fact that when Ariel was not around he felt his heart ache for Saphira.) Kolun moved away from Lycoris and brushed up against his leg, chattering to catch the stallion's attention. Marshall lowered his head so Kolun could rub up against him like a cat.
But then he smiled slightly, stretching his head back up to look at her. "Micah is doing well in Andarin?" He says after a moment, truly wishing his old companion well in Andarin. Some days he regretted how he had let his anger overcome him but it was just frustrating to watch as one by one people left just because. It had frustrated him when Saphira had done it and now that it was happening again, it simply made him angry. "I'm not sure of the time, long enough to know each other well enough." He said, not meaning it to come out in a riddle but he laughed and rolled his shoulders slightly in a shrug-like motion. "That serpent is my second super." He smiled again. "I received him not long ago."
