Lycoris flared her nostrils. They creased and smoothed as she took in deep breaths of the shapeless glass in front of her. It smelt, for a short while, like burning sand, and it stung a bit to her particular nostrils. Yet it faded out and all was left was a whiff of salt and sand, nothing all that exciting or dominant. That acidic smell was swept away with the few winds that still chose to billows their metaphorical skirts.
“Huh,” Lycoris starts, her mouth still twisted with intrigue. Maybe she could go ask one of the old Wolves back home what it was. Maybe Fenris would know, or Formaldehyde. Although she didn’t think that particular roan had been to Solira. Thinking about it a bit more, Lycoris realised they were likely to find someone who knew what it was more likely inside Solira. No dashing back to the mountains for her. Maybe she was getting a wee bit home sick to think of such a thing.
“It is beautiful…” Lycoris concurs, grinning as she sees flickers of their peering reflections on the shiny surface. Clouds were beginning to blow over, the precipitation beginning to fade. “Oh it would make a lovely gift! But it’s a bit… well I guess clanky if it was something you wanted to bring around with you!” Lycoris giggles at this, and takes a chance and moves it. It’s been completely chilled by the rain and water, and shifts through the sand like a rock. Hesitant, Lycoris uses a hoof to dig it up onto of the sand instead of nestling in. “It’s almost a bit like frozen ocean foam?” She comments, as the glass was a bit cloudy, in human terms and mindset you’d call it crude. But it was beautiful in it’s natural ways, and was the most impressive thing Lycoris had ever seen.
