Salt flavoured waves cascaded across the plateau of rock and earth that had been created by the forces of nature; as they roared and sprayed, the droplets that resulted would take flight into the air, landing a farways off. That very air would try to uplift those tiny droplets, but even such a minute task was far too much effort for one with such little concentration. She always had a petite attention span, and it never ceased to remain as such. But, although it may badly influence how much knowledge she can glean, or perhaps make others irate in her dashing presence, sometimes it is good to not notice anything long enough. She was therefore incapable of judging, as she would not see the other before her longer than four seconds, perhaps. She could also always, consistently live in the now, the good in the world, for all its butterflies and pretty clouds and raindrops falling on her head. Sometimes, I am sure, there are some who wish they could be just like this cremello; free of any worry, the weight of stress never touching her alabastar shoulders.
Those same smooth, pearlesque shoulders were rolling with the effort of motion as the filly pranced one last time around the ocean's flotsam. Lightly placed hooves were planted unsteadily in the sand as she raised her legs as far up to her chest as she could, imagining herself parading in front of all her butterfly friends. And Renga. And Lawtee. But suddenly, a whisper of the winds caught her ear and her pale blue eyes glanced to the west, where from her position, she saw an endless terrain of sand and fields. That was the direction of that Ni'Srilan place, though Mockingbird herself could not say she quite undestood what a Ni'Srilan was.
It was then that her winds began to pull her along playfully, and she noticed a bright, vibrant butterfly who glimmered with all the colours of the rainbow. Her immediate thought was "Renga's buhfly." And her ivory pillars began to stake out in that direction, her Air I sweeping gently beneath the butterfly and helping it to fly a little easier in the drafts of winds coming from the other direction. Her movements became quicker as she raced after the flitting butterfly, its wings almost calling to her. She wanted to fly, she wanted to go see what was outside Solira again, so she could find Renga again and-
She stopped short, just where the boundary scent of Solira began to drift off into the empty scent of sand and little grass. As her iced blue occuli gazed serenly out into the distance, her pink tongue lolling comically from her pale mouth, a stray thought managed to enter her brain. The butterfly seemed willing to wait as it hovered over her and landed upon her hip, and she turned slowly around. Her pools of blue suddenly becoming sad, as her head tilted to the side a bit. It had dawned on Mockingbird that her time had been spent living here in Solira, and that she would be leaving the lovely ocean and all its butterflies. Something within her told her that very few butterflies graced the desert sands, but that she could find other creatures to play with.
Under her breath, Mockingbird murmured to no one in particular (unless someone came to say farewell) "'B-b-b... 'Bye." Her right pinion swivelled so it was horizontal, as she wondered what would happen from now on. But she knew she wished to see the world, and as suddenly as her emotion had turned to sadness, it evaporated as the cheerful filly made her way across the borders, singing her own little song. "Renga buhfly found Monkigbard. Monkigbard folloh Renga's bufly. Bufly lieks Monkigbard, nngghh."
