There was no intention to go the desert. It made Lycoris a little bit uncomfortable. She liked sand juxtaposition with water, and that was pretty much the only time. When it clumped together where the waves broke against it, and occasionally when you go those rounded lines like lots and lots of perfect snakes lined up against each other. And you couldn’t find shells in the desert. Lycoris grins at the thought of shells, and her clattering little companion, Neevee, who had decided to visit the ocean with her. The once-onion, once-orange, now sidekick filly also seemed to be enjoying the water, which made Lycoris extremely glad.
Quietly crooning over the idea of hunting down this filly, Lycoris is taken aback by the water serpent. Letting out a bit of a squeal she sidesteps into the Jaeger king. But she’s giggling as she does, amber eyes shimmer with awe. She keeps her speckled body pressed against his patchy one and lets out a certain laugh as she notices his wink, and then takes a step forwards eventually towards the serpent, in time to get splashback from it falling away.
“Oh well if he’s fishing it’s not big deal…” She starts but her eyes have already spotted the little form coming to join them upon Marshall’s command. “You’re the cutest of them yet!” The glee was practically coming off her like a scent, it flowered and her air shivered happily, and tangled through her mane and acted in giddy waves around her forelock. “What’s his name!?” She exclaims to Marshall, head still lowered towards the sea otter, leaning forwards to gently nudge him in a fond way. “You’re certainly cuter than Grimm, he’s a white raven and apparently a wee bit rude too! But you sure give Zeke and Nimir-raj a run for their money!” Lycoris coos, referring to the two feline familiars of her good friend Micah (unaware of any sort of resentment left form his leave of Solira), and the Jaeger Courage – who Lycoris was absolutely thrilled by. “How long have you two been together? And when did you get that handsome snake Marshall!?” Because that’s not euphemistic at all.
