A bright smile quickly chases away the somber attitude Huyana had obtained; she loved the seer’s pets. At his tentative approach Huyana drops her shadow painted head towards him, amber eyes welcoming as they level with his small form. At his startled touch she laughs softly, amused by his antics. ”I had almost forgotten, seer Courage.” Smiling she lifted her head so her gaze could lock back with her teacher’s.

”You are adorable Zeke.” Huyana murmured to the cub, not sure if he would appreciate such a frivolous comment but finding no better word for him. Knowing him to be Courage’s pet, Huyana could only assume he was playful and kind hearted. As Courage continued Huyana turned her focus back to the palomino, nodding at the pure truth in the unknowing being frightening. With the news of her son Huyana could only let her eyes grow wide, her mouth pursing with delight. ”So soon?” Huyana queried with disbelief. ”He is so strong already, I wish him luck.” Huyana had not really met Connor since his younger age, she would have to make a point of running across Courage’s adolescent. Time flew by.
Lost again in watching the cub’s antics Huyana’s ears twitched as Courage murmured another bit of her past. Glancing up once more Huyana proffered a slight smile, detecting the pride in Courage’s voice. ”She was brave…” Nothing like Huyana’s mother. She sighed softly, brought from her memories only with Courage’s question. Amber eyes drifted back to the mare, surprised and thoughtful.
”The desert was abundant with those willing to speak with me, mostly scholars. I enjoyed their company, but the landscape herself was unbearable. I regret not having met the actual leader, but from the morale in the herd I imagine the desert is prosperous.” She tilted her head, lips pursing in a line. ”The Mountains were easier to handle terrain wise, but only one came to greet me. A peculiar mare, another scholar.” Huyana laughed softly. It was no surprise really, but she half expected warriors to be more on patrol. But these lands were not so much the war torn ones she knew. ”She will visit here some day, so she told me.”
Huyana glanced towards the ocean, listening to its roar. ”Solira will survive.”
