The capturer she thinks should know what is going on with the ranks below them and in many ways Caitriona is glad the vane holds that position - and she knows that Datura is also a much more able and proven spy than Caitriona herself so something would have to happen to both the vane and the revenant for that to even be a remote possibility. This makes the grey deviser extremely happy, after all she has never been particularly bothered about rank or status, only about doing her best. mc caitríona

I'll give you a summer you can't repeat;
no strings, just warm summer rain
But it was nice for Saphira to recognise the newly appointed deviser for her effort in Ersatz, especially despite her recent lack of activity within its treacherous walls. She feels only momentary ease knowing that Solira's two shadows have not been especially active of late either but as a mercenary she knows she has more to prove than either the vane or the revenant do. Everyone knows they are good at their roles by their titles, a title Caitriona is still struggling to achieve. She knows shadow is not an easy achievement (knows it would be a pointless goal otherwise) but the last stages seem to be the hardest and it is difficult for the deviser to remain focused on the end game when she feels the set backs much harder now than she did back when she was filled with a youthful enthusiasm.
Her fire, normally bright and burning is duller and less impressive when surrounded by the vane's wind - as if it feels slightly insignificant when next to her when it is often rather reflective of Caitriona's own moods. But she manages to venture closer to the shadow with an air of grace and a relaxed manner about herself that she does not manage to often project (thought the more she uses kineko, the easier this is becoming again for the grey). Her words reaching across the gap between them, carried by the wind. "Welcome back Enola Gay, it is good to have you back." Perhaps now the spies have their capturer back, they can start to get back on track - hopefully win more times than they loose. She knows they've been so so lately, and she does wonder if this is largely to do with the relative inaction from the three top ranked spies. She doesn't bother with pleasantries, they're not friends (Caitriona doesn't often have those) and she is concerned about their dwindling numbers. None of the spies have actually left yet but many have not been seen in a while. "I know you've only just returned but do you have a plan to help us get back on track? Some have done well in your absence, one new mercenary and three new scouts amongst us - sadly I cannot say the same for myself."
