To be honest she would probably not be entirely happy in that position either - she doesn't thrive on meeting others, is usually more content to be by herself unless approached. But it was nice to be recognised for her effort in Ersatz, especially despite her recent lack of activity within its treacherous walls. She feels only momentary ease knowing that Solira's two shadows have not been especially active of late either but as a mercenary she knows she has more to prove than either the vane or the revenant do. Everyone knows they are good at their roles by their titles, a title Caitriona is still struggling to achieve. She knows shadow is not an easy achievement (knows it would be a pointless goal otherwise) but the last stages seem to be the hardest and it is difficult for the deviser to remain focused on the end game when she feels the set backs much harder now than she did back when she was filled with a youthful enthusiasm. mc caitríona

I'll give you a summer you can't repeat;
no strings, just warm summer rain
Her fire, normally bright and burning is duller and less impressive when surrounded by Saphira's water, lightning and air - as if it feels slightly insignificant when next to her when rather is often reflective of Caitriona's own moods. But she manages to accept the praise with an air of grace that she does not manage to often project. "Thank you Saphira." She is glad Saphira was back, although she will admit to having not been the Siren's biggest fan initially upon her return (Caitriona will freely inform anyone that she is not a supporter of change really anyway) but she does see that the Siren is trying and with Marshall is managing to lead Solira back from the edge. That in it's self would have been good enough for her.
But perhaps the fact that once (a long time ago it seems now) Elemmire had called Caitriona a disloyal creature and yet now she held the rank of deviser and would protect this land to the best of her ability, gave her some common ground with the paint female she stood beside. A commander who turned rogue and was called traitor by some was now placed as their queen. Her words are few as usual, but they are heartfelt and that is not something Caitriona does often or particularly well but she tries. "Welcome home."
