Marshall had left the waters of the ocean for a little while, instead choosing to wander amongst the crags of rock that jutted towards the sky. He could still smell the salty water and hear the waves crashing upon the shore but for now he couldn’t see any liquid only the hard, brownish gray rocks that had been battered by the Elements for years. He took a deep breath, sighing softly and just stopped to wonder about the Element and Solira.
He was so damn scared that he would lose Solira and it would have to merge with Andarin or Ni. He couldn’t take the guilt, the blame that would be layered upon his shoulders for he would blame himself more than anyone else could. He sighed softly, already feeling defeated but never giving up. Their beaches had to stay, there had to be three kingdoms. There just had to be. He could not live without his sea, without the salty spray of water or the deep darkness beneath the surface.
He sighed again and it was then that his mind acknowledged the movements and thoughts of another near him. He turned from his spot, from his private place and just looked as the girl came right up over the edge. A small smile curled his lips as he thought of Ariel, who was still trapped amongst the Wolves. “My daughter would like you.” He says first, smiling at her softly in the way that he always seemed to upon first meetings. He turned looking back around him at the rocks that had hid the sea from him, but he knew just one step and everything would be revealed again. “Thank you. It’s my pleasure to meet you young Lycoris.” Sometimes, I imagine Marshall as an old man with a beard and have to remember that he is indeed only a six year old stallion with way too much gentlemanly behavior. “How are you liking Solira so far?” He says after a minute, his eyes landing back upon hers.
