Within the cold desert night it finds wind to its feet; and by the gold gilded side of the Snakecharmer (and his oily lover) the strange foal is held fast and soon to grow. Greedily it drinks, with voracious and unstoppable hunger taking over its belly. But alas those days are gone to it: the days curled up and napping beneath the hot sun—now in the dull evening are the days when it walks alone, exploring the dark corners of Desreal and the forgotten lands of the Element. Beneath its feet the earth is still and the soil is eagerly made soft with dewy ferns and tender moss beds. Much unlike others it does not coat itself or act strangely to the response of the element; it ignores it and thinks nothing more of it—just as it thinks nothing more of the creature stalking behind him within the tree shadows. A cool breeze drifts across the floor of the earth, and for a moment he thinks nothing of it… until it grows thicker. Her reaction is neither positive nor negative; pressing her head against her still breast and allowing the breeze to caress and pass against her.
The air to him is unfamiliar; and to his companion it is an irritance as well. Stinking of the beach and tinged by sand and moisture it passes by her legs with nothing more then clinging flecks of sand. His hooves are able to adapt quickly to the shifted landscape; and the creatures paws as well (it’s claws spreading across the sand and toes as well to balance it’s body). The equine creatures appearance is strange, a soft honey wheat color, with whitened legs and belly; its mane and tail a mealy sallow: and its body neither perfectly male nor perfectly female. Its shoulders are softened and its features strangely feminine; alas it is lanky and narrow—and with a hardened masculine appeal. Its chestnut brown eyes are doe like and ever looking, its chest rising and falling with boughs of breath.
Not far behind is the beasts companion, a muscular and thick cat-beast with oversized fangs. It’s bobtail does not sway and it’s sloping shoulders roll; the thing is a dark grey with black stripes and a white underbelly; tinges of fox-red hair appear amidst the saber beasts face. It’s yellow eyes look about the sandy beach, eyeing birds and fish not far off in the waves. The strange equine moves with him, stopping when the scent in the wind changes; his chestnut eyes glean and head turns. The saber-cat pauses, his eyes narrowing and position shifted, but alas he relaxes as does the equine creature (for in the distance young Nuitari recognizes the familiar smell of another horse).
They approach but stop at a distance, after all, not many people respond well to a massive saber-cat and his hermaphrodite companion. Nuitari offers a smile, its voice neither male nor female and both at the same time; “You must be The Blithe,” she pauses, a sobered expression hangs on her face, “I am Nuitari, a seer and hopeful resident of this shore.” His companion stalks aside and into the water somewhere, the scent of fish rather tantalizing to the predatory giant.
