The sand was not like that of the desert’s, but it was the memory of this place that encouraged the infirmed stallion to continue on over the depth of white and scorned black that plagued his every step. Raphael’s vision and memory of the Sea had been forever skewed… It now smelled of rot, the sea ran green instead of gray and blue… And death and decay lay littered across it’s sands... Red tide. So thick you could smell it for miles coming. The sea had died, left littered with pestilence and those unworthy of the bullet it took to kill them. But regardless Raphael continued his trip straight to the face of the King and the flaming horse he’d stolen. If horse’s could smile, the charcoal black steed’s cheeks would be so sore, the muscles would be spasming with how big and wide that million kilowatt smile would have been. But lucky for Ozymandias and lucky for Nicodemus horses cannot smile... And Raphael knew better then to be smug.
“Ozymandias It seems I’ll be relieving you of Nicodemus for seven days... Maybe more. Mandatory vacation you see.“ Ok so maybe he was but a little smug - but not blatant in your face laughing kind of smug as the heavy Spanish of his vocals lifted and drifted over the reeking breezes. Oh how this place had changed and how it injured his nostrils, lungs, and eyes to even be here. Perhaps even Nicodemus would take a permanent move once he saw how crisp and clean and fresh the Desert really was. Time would tell. “Enjoy your day sir King.“
