- Sydney J. Harris
She wonders, at first, if perhaps he has not heard her. But to repeat herself now would be rude if he had caught on every word, and yet to linger near him like this without being noticed seemed even more strange – she is very lucky that he finally breaks this moral dilemma by turning his attention to Cho, and the Oracle breathes out in silent relief. However, she cannot say she is fond of the gaze he shares with her familiar (and even less so of the fleeting glimpses of Cho as a Corpsecall that dance across his mind), but she passes it off as some error in her Sight; some ill side effect of not using it these past few years. Oh yes, Oracle; you have excuses why everything unpleasant is just your mistake, do you not? She thinks of Phyrrion briefly, and then Ozymandias touches her.
She was not expecting him to greet her this way – not when she had been all but ignored only moments before. So when their skin meets the Dreamsinger startles, breaking the contact briefly as she shies slightly to her right, and Cho 'oofs' quietly at being shrugged to the side. To thrust her muzzle back toward his now would seem foolish and exaggerate her already embarrassing situation, so she stands helplessly rooted, apologies radiating from her eyes as she slowly meets his touch again, childlike, until he pulls away. She will agonize over the awkwardness of this first meeting for days.
I have only spoken with one other Oracle before. You are strange creatures. he says, and Amadi could have laughed for the irony it now presented in their current situation - for fear of further humiliating herself, she only smiles politely. His next request does not surprise her; she knew little of the remnants of the Stone and its current influence on the Element, but she supposed soon enough, she would be well versed enough to scream.
Of course, King. I will pray at the next full moon for the Elementals' assistance, and bring you their answer soon after. The 'why' of the question matters little to her now – does anything truly matter until its consequences affect those you love?
But there is something more that lingers cloudlike around the stallion, and the Oracle is very hesitant to inquire about it (or to even query his mind for more than a glimpse of the pain he is suffering under) – she turns a little as though to leave, and finally makes up her mind.
They are just dreams, Corpsefiend. She offers gently, and with a polite nod, turns to leave him.

[weee I know you have lots of posties, and they'll talk again soon once she has her dream, so I left it open if you want to keep 'em talking or not ^.^]
