Insignificant, unranked, unknown. Politics of herds were messy things, and it was best not to step on the mess until you knew what it consisted of. Nicodemus- who was he? She did not know, but rather than test the waters she plunged within the depths. His glower towards her ignorance and insolence felt like a steel blade sliding across her throat.

Huyana preferred to keep quiet, her presence rather unknown within a herd. She did not hide, but she did not try to be bold. It was better she felt, to keep quiet and help where she could, then gallivant around helping and upsetting all at once. To then displease a member of her herd whom she did not harbor distrust or dislike for was an alien sensation to her which she did not like. Your own fault.
She glanced away, watching as more approached. Simon the next stallion called himself, his approach more gentle and welcoming than the other two she stood with. Amber pools watched him as he settled into the group, pleasantly asking Nicodemus of his wolverine and phoenix. So then Huyana was not hallucinating them? Her eyes brightened, interest replacing the other emotions once more as she subtly turned her attention towards the creatures once more. Why did he have them? She wondered, as she did of many things within the Element. Mind reading, elements, pets, classes- so much to learn, she remained oblivious to so much.
Before Nicodemus could answer however another brute came, calling himself Marshall. Huyana nodded briefly to him, as she had to all who had come. The typical, silent greeting and brief sign of respect she gave to all she conversed with, friend or foe, high or low rank. Seer. She would remember that and him, all of them and what their attitudes explain in this meeting. All seemed familiar with the fire swathed stallion, and Huyana’s gaze lapped across his frame, at his eyes as the desire to know who he was fueled her. In time, in time, she would come to know. For now, wait and watch.
”I am Huyana, recent scholar here.” She replied when it seemed appropriate, her clear voice pouring like water from her lips in an almost childish purity. She could not feign such naivety as a child though.
