This was a new world for her. The warm months had been spent traveling in search of such a place. The cool sands had declared themselves as her destination. The scent of many horses hung about the air. She had found potential. The potential for a new home. The potential for a new life. One that would quiet the haunting memories of her previous lives. That goal had brought her to the edge of worlds. Brought her to where land ended, and water began. Ah, how she loved such a place during winter. The moisture which hung in the air was cool and refreshing even though the sun was shining. Spring would arrive soon, and that brought the mare little joy. She much preferred the cold weather.
The mare's hooves sunk into the soft beach as she strolled alongside the waves. It was not long before she found another. A deep golden mare mimicking her own actions was not far off. Arundelle continued forward, now with a little more energy behind her steps. Her head lifted from it's previously languid position as she now needed to be alert. Her ears flickered forward for a moment, and then began moving in all directions. She listened for signs of others. Others that might wish to stay hidden, for reasons unknown to her. Paranoia was something that plagued her. Having lived a life full of untrustworthy characters one learns to question all good situations.
However, she was here to find a home, and surely she needed to make contact with another. When the fire stained mare reached closer to the paler version of herself her voice took over. She spoke in smooth and gentle tones. After all, she was not here to make enemies... Yet.
