For dreams and things that never are.
She can sense his pain, can sense that something is terribly wrong in the heart of her most beloved friend and teacher. Her water can feel it, and it wants to reach out to the world in a desperate attempt to calm the storm that swells inside of Marshall. Her limbs are graceful and in motion as she maneuvers through Solira’s damp landscape. The snow was fading, and her fire warmed every bit of her body. She can feel the pain as if she was a creature that could feel his emotion as hers, or something of the sort. As she embarks on her journey, those precious oceanic eyes fix on nothing else and sift only through the boundaries of her conscious as she searches so frantically for him. Marshall has been her greatest friend since she had been there in Solira and active in the Academy. Together the two could conquer anything; it was just a matter of time. Courage finally found him suffocating in his own sadness, and she came forward with a frown. Her muzzle instantly went to him with the wanton need to comfort, to let him know that he was not alone in any way. Those sweet lips fondled over his skin, fumbling with his winter coat for a moment as she embraced him with her neck so delicately intertwined with his. Her smile so delicious in every darling way, wound onto her lips in a genuine manner as those caring eyes found his with a fondness unmatched.
”Marshall,” she said, and for a moment she wants to ask the inevitable question of “what has the world done to you?” but the inquiry does not come out. Instead, she relies on her mere presence in hopes that it might comfort him. The scholars are a team, especially when so disinclined to bow down to Ozymandias as she was. Things were terrible enough as they were in Solira; there was no need to try and make the waters thicker with the blood and guts of those long ago lost. ”I’m here.” She hopes she can help; she hopes she is enough. In some distant way, she hopes that Marshall will be consoled and calmed by her presence. Her water element reaches for his in a joyful fashion, while the fire merely looks on (let’s face it and say that her fire is kind of an inexperienced idiot at emotions and therefore is doing the smart thing and staying out of it). Her eyes so kindly lit wander to Marshall’s features, offering him a small, empathetic smile. Let her be here for you, Marshall, as you were for her not so long ago when her father was here and announced to her how much he never wanted her.
