- The wind whispered its sweet nothings into her ears, and carried with it the telltale plodding of equine hooves upon the sandy ground. Datura looked up, lifeless black eyes tracing the visitor's silhouette with little more than the mere surprise of ending up with company. Datura turned her small ivory head slowly, gaunt frame maintaining its lax poise despite the presence of someone she neither knew nor trusted. Care was a word that had been excised from her vocabulary long ago, mostly because everything ahe had loved had twisted around like a serpent caught by the tail, betraying her and embedding their fangs in her back. If she could only comprehend that she had done this to herself. They had been her own fangs which bled her dry.
- Indeed the mare had faded into what was now just a shadow of her former self. She had embraced her death only to have herself ripped back to mortality, but something – some part of her had been left behind. Saphira had made sure of that. Her body was cold but there was still a beating heart beneath that porcelain coat. The look of her is something you could not ignore, ancient looking, ethereal, but damned. Her pupils contracted, the black flashed in the light, but were still so lifeless. At least if you had ever seen the glorious blue that they once were...Even as she walked with such a skeletal frame, faintly, you could see the grandeur and carnal lust that once was. She let her eyes meet with his, as nothing more than a tired tone rose and fell from her cold corpse-lips, ”Yes- ?”. Her gaze was questioning as if annoyed that he had disturbed her thoughts, only to stand there in silence staring. Had he not just strutted over here with a look of purpose plastered across his face? Or was she supposed to commence some kind of conversation for him?
