Moonlight, the crash of the ocean, the odd texture of sand beneath her hooves. These things were fast becoming familiar, comforting. As she had the past few nights, Loti found herself on the beach, standing at the edge of the ocean, letting the foam of the surf lap around her fetlocks. Her thoughts followed the patterns of the waves, tumbling over each other, as she considered this new land she found herself in. She had been out of the habit of staying in one place for quite awhile, and her current urges to do so were something she found disturbing.
With a heavy sigh, the akhal-teke tossed her elegant head, moving slightly further into the surf, where small waves could crash against her legs. She looked ethereal in the light, the moonlight picking up on the Akhal-teke shine in strange ways. A buckskin ghost, who blended with the sand but for the silver highlights and the touches of dark.
She didn't register the approach of the other mare, until the other was almost upon her, and spoke. Indeed, she stiffened, resisting the urge to jump sharply away. When she saw it wasn't anything threatening-- at least, not imminently so-- she calmed and put her head down slightly. "Ah, Hello." she said, talking fairly quietly. "I.. am loti." there was hesitation there, visable. then loti paused, looking thoughtful. "Desdemona." this was said almost as if she was tasting the word. "That's a very nice name."
