My grandmother lived at 401 N. 6th Avenue (now 227 Constitution)at the corner of Chelsea Street... Whitlow's lived behind her. I remember seeing those tin policemen in front of Shea Terrace Elem. as early as the late '50's when we would go to visit her. She could barely walk, but that wouldn't stop her from walking down to Bootsie's every Friday for a few groceries, and to stock up on Hostess Snowball cakes!
