A few years after my graduation year, but how about "The Lamp" (a.k.a. Alladin's Lamp) on Western Branch Blvd., near Maryview. I believe it used to be a lunch place called Little's Press Box(?), or at least next to it in that little triangle strip area where W.B. Blvd. met High Street across from Robbie's Hardware. Used to hit "The Lamp" on Friday's after work with a group of guys I worked with from the airport out in Chespeake on 58-460. Then on to The Silver Slipper. And after that, on to Flip Boyette's Pancake House around 1:00 a.m. for a good dose of peanut butter pancakes smothered with butter and syrup!
