While I am truly and deeply honored and touched (won't say "where") by this prestigious award, I feel that I hardly deserve it. While I look forward to perusing the Playboys and enjoying the World Famous Moseberth's fried chicken, not to mention the rapt attention of Hizzoner, goodmayor Holley, I must confess to the stark and naked truth.
I honestly did not know that we had a troop of thespians at WWHS, much less the number of their members. NOT that there's anything WRONG with being a thespian, it's just that sometimes people get a little nervous when they matriculate in public.
Since our honorable President did and truly Grace our sister city, Norfolk, with his presence today, not to mention the Mutt's alter tomater, the Old Dim Onion, I feel it is only fair to pass my hard won (?) prize over to him. After all, hasn't he done just as much to deserve it? Also, can you think of a better pair to spend a day together than Mr. Obama and Dr. Holley?
Lastly, please pay little attention to the rantings of the retired gumshoe below. He is merely jealous. I can detect his green glow all the way from Cap City.
