Those old Princess Anne teams were coached by coaching legend Pete Sachon, as I recall, whose 1967 squad, led by QB Bob German, went unbeaten and untied, beating Chasper Taylor's fine Churchland team that year, along the way, 27-20, and winning the Eastern Regional and State titles.
Buster O'Brien first went to Notre Dame, where Terry Hanratty and Coley O'Brien were already firmly entrenched as Irish signal-callers, and later transferred to Richmond, where he led the Spiders to a 7-3 regular season one year and an upset 49-42 win over previously-undefeated Toledo in the Tangerine Bowl in that season's finale.
