Yes, Wilson has played home games under the lights many, many times at Portsmouth Stadium, later renamed Frank D. Lawrence Stadium --then considered Wilson's home field. Big games would draw crowds in the 10,000 to 14,000 range. The WW-Great Bridge game in 1969 drew 14,000 fans. I was one of them. The largest crowd to attend a Wilson game was 27,000 at Norfolk's Foreman Field in 1945 against Granby. This regular season game determined the 1945 State Championship. Granby won.
