Many, many years ago when I was growing up, I lived on Pacific Ave which is on the back side of Wilson. I watched the school being built. Used to take my wagon after the workers left for the day and pick up the drink bottles they left and cash them in! 3 cents a bottle was alot of money for a young kid back then.
Before Wilson was built, the grounds was the city golf couse. Yep a golf course.
I guess you can say I saw our beloved Wilson built from the ground up.
